Bella Vida Wax Salon Policies
Please take a minute to read these before your appointment. They help you get the most out of your visit and keep the schedule fair for everyone.
- Acne medication
- If you are taking any acne medication, please tell us which one so we can decide whether waxing is safe for you. All new clients are asked about this and services are determined from there. If acne medication is not disclosed when asked, we are not liable for any skin irritation that follows.
- Gratuities
- Tips are always up to you. We accept them in cash, by credit card or through Zelle.
- Returns
- All sales are final.
- Tardiness
- We expect every appointment to start on time. If you are running 7 minutes or more behind, you may lose your time slot or be charged an inconvenience fee, and the visit may be treated as a cancellation without 24 hours notice, which carries a 100% fee.
- Cancellations
- Last minute cancellations make it hard for us to fill your slot. Please give at least 24 hours notice, or reschedule for another day, to avoid a cancellation fee. Cancelling or rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice is charged at 50% of the services booked.
- No shows and very late cancellations
- A no show, or a cancellation or reschedule with less than 1 hour notice, is charged at 100% of the services booked. A third no show means removal from our online scheduling. Because we work by appointment only, these spots usually can't be filled by someone else.
- Adverse reactions
- If you have an allergic reaction to a product or service, please seek medical attention right away and let us know within 24 hours of your appointment, with a photo if at all possible.
Why we have these rules
Bella Vida is a small salon run by one specialist, and every appointment is booked ahead of time. When someone shows up late or doesn't show at all, that time is simply lost and another client could have used it. These policies keep the schedule fair for everyone and let us keep giving each guest the full time they booked.
The questions about medication are there to protect your skin. Some treatments make the skin thinner and more fragile, and waxing on top of that can cause real damage. We would always rather ask than risk it.
You can also read our Covid19 policies for health and safety guidelines during your visit.
